Crescent Moon Layout

Hello crafty friends,

Chaitali here, sharing my inspirational project "Crescent Moon Layout" for our current Mood Board

It's a lovely moodboard with pretty colors and depicting the magic of friendship.

"True Friends Paint Magical Moments in our Life". So inspired by this quote, and our moodboard, I have created a layout on friendship using crescent moon as the base of the project.

I started by drawing a crescent moon shape on a cardboard and a scrapbook paper. Later after cutting both, stuck the scrapbook paper on the cardboard and distressed the edges with purple distress ink. Further added some stenciling with icing paste in few areas.

Made few embellishments from moulds using resin. Then applied white gesso on all the chipboards and moulds. Also applied gesso on two old brushes. Colored the brushes and chipboards with metallique paints and waxes.

Then, started with the main composition using the center chipboard and two old brushes. Added the focal picture of two friends to complement the moodboard. I placed the focal picture slightly raised to create dimension and layers.

I wanted to add a magical touch to the project, so used wings and fairy chipboards. Which I had colored with metallique paints and waxes.

Later, added several embellishments like moulds, fowers, lace leaves to the project. Also added the word Magic to complete the layout theme.

Finally, added some glitters, gold splatters, and sprinkled small stars.
