Near the Sea I Long to Be

Hello Everyone,

The winter season is nearly over and spring is just around the corner here in Canada.  Hopefully this morning is our last snow fall.  I am looking forward to the colours of spring and summer, lots of sunshine and warm days.

Hence we have the below moodboard and feel free to be inspired by anything below and join our challenge.

You can create anything you want -  a layout, a card, an off-the-page project, a tag, an ATC, an art-journal spread, a canvas and many more - just be inspired by our moodboard.

This is my project I made for this challenge.  I have call the canvas "Near the Sea I Long to Be".  I grew up having the pleasure of being near the ocean, playing on the beach and being able to enjoy the pleasures of warm sea breezes and the summer suns.

For my canvas I used acrylic paints, die cuts, rubber stamps, shells, ink pens and cheese clothe for my net.  It was fun creating something from my past that was very important to me.

Hope you like it

  3. Loved the mood board. So much inspiration there. I know that some people might look at my card and question how my card was inspired. I loved the ocean photos and I thought of my old SU set called summer by the sea. I was going to watercolor the ocean and sky but I had stamped the image on Kraft and watercoloring on it wasn't looking good. So the ocean and sky panel is behind the main image.
