Coasters: Recycling Cds

Hi friends, Maria Pilar is here sharing with you my first project as Splashy Mix Challenge DT using this January moodboard.

I started last year altered old Cds turn them in coasters. So, today show you my first ones I make this new year.

After applying a base on the old CD, I applied acrylic paints to create the background. In next step I used a template of roses to give it texture. In one of the CDs the Nuvo Expanding Mousse give it a bigger dimension. Then I continued with the same template with gelatos. 

On the opposite side, where I lay the roses and glued a gauze, I pasted two flowers with a drop of Nuvo liquid on some branches of leaves with touches of green gelato and golden glitter.

In addition, the whole set has a layer of Opal Magic wax green brocade on top.

The sentiments are stamped on artisan flower paper.
