Colorful Canvas

Hello everyone and welcome back to Splashy Mix! This month's mood board is spectacular:

For my project, I focused on the Festival of Colors. What's interesting is that we, too, have the same thing in West Virginia every year! So my canvas is just that - a festival of colors!

I adhered some scrap tulle pieces randomly and painted the whole thing with white gesso. Then I added some stenciling with modeling paste.

I found these napkins with splashes of color which was perfect for this! Then came the color!

I used Lindy's Bachelor Button Blue, Witch's Potion Purple, Alpine Ice Rose, Yellow Rose of Texas, and Bells of Ireland Green. And I added some stones and chipboard frames.

I think it looks like an Andy Warhol pop art piece - or something from the 60s with tie dye, flowers, and butterflies!

We hope to see you back with your own colorful creation for our Challenge - can't wait to see your interpretation of the mood board!

Hope my project inspired you, if so, come and play along with us at
