Altered Box - Inspiration from Aditi

Namaste Friends!

I am Aditi and I today I am going to share a mix media project for the Splashymix August challenge with you all.

Here is our August Moodboard

I have altered the box of the One Plus Phone according to the colors of moodboard.

I had the box lying over so thought to ucycle it. Firstly, using fevicryl mould it and lace mould, I have created the background. I used silicone glue to adhere. I used some die cuts , corrugated sheet pieces , flowers , beads to make composition.

Once done with composition, I gessoed the whole thing in white. I also applied texture paste on the sides and made pattern with graining tool. Sorry, I forgot to capture pics of that.

Then I started to play with colors according to the moodboard.

Gradually, I have increased the intensity of colors.

Once satisfied with the colors, I dry brushed with white gesso and pasted the flower and leaves.

I also, used art stones to add some drama.

Also, on the corners I have used embossing paste.

Added splashes,sentiment and butterflies to complete the look.

Happiness is an Inside Job

I am Aditi and I am happy to share a mix media Easel card which I made for the Splashymix Challenge June moodboard with you all.

My project is inspired by the green and white color of the moodboard. Hope you will get some inspiration to make your project.

Today I am going to share picture tutorial of how to make this Easel card.

I have used the beautiful sheet from romantic Garden series of ITD Collection. Its very sturdy paper having lovely designs. I chose the below papers for my project.

To make an Easel card you have to take 2 cardstocks. one of the dimension 6"by 12" and other by 6"by6". This will fianlly make our 6"by 6" card . For 6" by 12" score at 3"and 6" as shown below.

I have taken the below paper to work with for the easel main part.I have scored the borders to give an additional texture.

I applied white embossing texture paste using stencil and heat dried it. After heat drying it gives a very different raised texture.

I have stamped here and there. Added cheese cloth and corrugated piece. Added silver foil on the corrugated piece randomly.

Rolled pattern paper to make paper rolls.

I had put some slashes of white paint. I embellished with leaves, die cuts, flowers, pearls, stones etc.

I embossed the butterfly and colored it and made it the focal point.

I have pasted the card on the easel frame.

I have pasted the quote here and finished the card.

Smile and Wish

This is Aditi and today I am going to share the project which I made for the splashymix challenge's May Moodboard. Following is the Moodboard for the month of May.

I had 2 milk bottles with me which broke from top hence unuseable. I decided to upcycles these two bottles for this project. I applied mod podge and then pasted tissue to give it texture.

When tissue dried, I applied white acylic paint.

After the paint has dried, I colored it with Yellow and light pink chalk paint. After that I have used Red archival ink to to highlight tissue texture.
