SHABBY CHIC DRAWER CHEST - DT SIRISHA

Hello Everyone!!

I am Sirisha Setia here with my new project for the September month Challenge at Splashymix Challenges.

Inspired completely by the amazing moodboard of the month, I have created a beautiful Shabby Chic decor piece for home with all the elements.

Step by Step pictures of the project are as follows:

This amazing MDF vintage drawer chest box is first covered with Shabby Velour paint by Fabrica Decoru, and stencil is done with Finnabair stencil and Prima Gold crackle medium to get the amazing cracks within the stencil.

Next to go with the moodboard, I made the Macrame leaves with cotton thread for the side hanging I wanted to create and for the top of the project. I arranged all the elements with my macrame leaves on the gold chain for the side and made my hanging ready.

Next i tore a cardstock paper from Itsy Bitsy Shabby chic collection for the drawers and gave it a distressed look.
Followed by using Transfer Me sheets Lace design  from Dress My Craft  on the drawer and top of the chest.

Added all the elements, the doily cutout from Itsy Bitsy Shabby chic collection, the wooden mirror embellishments and embossed it with Lindy's pink embossing powder and Itsy Bitsy Gold embossing powder to give dual tone.

I used Lindy,s Sprays for the base grey color over the stenciled cracks to give a smokey effect. and at the end assembled all my elements together, with  little of pearl effect at the end.

Here are few close up pictures of my project for you.

Hope you like my project and get inspired to create one of yours. Do participate in the challenge and get a chance to win fabulous prices from our sponsors.

Thank you
Sirisha Setia
