Special Guest Designer - October 20

 Hello everyone,

Today we share inspiration from our special Guest Designer for October.

Jasmina - She is an amazing paper artist and her flowers are so special in her projects.

Over to her.

Thank you so much for inviting me to be your guest designer. It really means a lot!

My name is Jasmina. I live with my family in a very small town in Slovenia, just a few miles from the Austrian border. I craft since I remember and I can't imagine a day without it. I am a passionate paper crafter but sometimes I also reach for my mixed media supplies :). I also make my own flowers for my projects. I can't imagine a project with flowers other than mine :).
I like to learn new things and try new techniques.

Here is my inspiration on the current Moodboard

Hope I inspired you.

Thank you for stopping by

Special Guest Designer for July

Hello everyone,

Today we share inspiration from our special Guest Designer for July.

She is wonderful mixed media artist and her layouts are magical.

Thank you for being our Special guest Tina!

Over to her

Hi there Splashy Mix Challenge friends. This is Tina Ollett here and I for the month of July I was asked to create as a Guest Designer.
I was over the moon at being asked to do this and I am very grateful for the opportunity. Thank you for having me here.

Looking to the gorgeous Splashy Mix Challenge moodboard for inspiration, I couldn’t go past the the pastel colours of the ice cream cone.

That was my inspiration from the moodboard. And this is where it took me. I have titled this project “X”.

For this project I have used 4 differing sized flat based canvases and used these as my starting point. Using layers of papers. moulds,
Flowers, Chipboards and lots of medias including crackle and modeling pastes along with pigment powders, I created an elegant
project based around a photo of my daughter at her graduation. This will adorn on our walls in our house always.

Hope I inspired you to create something.

Special Guest Designer April Magdalena zaremba

Hello everyone,

Today we share an inspiration from our special Guest Designer for April.

Over to her

I am Magdalena zaremba, mother of three wonderful, creative children, wife of my beloved husband.

Between household chores, nursery, school and work, we all try to make our lives creative, colorful and a little less monotonous.

For my project, I used Woodouts base of starfish. I decided to use some sand paste from Polish brand Renesans. Than I colored it with brown Lindy's Gang mists. At the end I used blue mat wax form Finnabair. I added some small elements and my project is finished.

Special Guest designer - July

Hello all!
Here today we have our special guest designer for July.

She is well known mixed media artist.

Welcoming Magda

My name is Magda Urbaniak, also known as magdalena’s attic and I’m delighted to be able to share one of my projects with you today. I’ve been crafting for over two years now and I have to say that it is the most fulfilling hobby I have ever had. I’m truly grateful to all those wonderful artists out there for sharing their inspiring work, friendship and words of encouragement with me. It is such a pleasure to be a tiny part of this ever growing community of mixed media enthusiasts, so a big THANK YOU to you all and to lovely Shylaa for inviting me here today.

When it comes to my projects, I don’t really have any favourite form of expression, but I love to work with waxes, so my inspiration to you is a canvas inspired by the ocean. The composition is simple and this would be an ideal type of work for those, who want to start they journey with mixed media. All you need to do, is to glue your embellishments to the canvas and give it a nice coat of black gesso. When your project is dry and you start using waxes - this is when the magic happens.

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Special Guest June

Hello all!
We are delighted to have some extra inspiration for you for the School mood board this month, We are very happy to welcome Asia Marquet as our special guest this month

Let's take a look at Asia's amazing creation, and here some more about Asia herself as well as her beautiful art journaling, in her very own words...

My name is Asia Marquet aka Lemon Creation, I am an avid mixed media crafter and artist for almost 3 years now and my favourite form of expression is art journaling. In my projects, I need to have negative space, splatter, and touch of black. I love all things distressed, industrial and steampunk, but sometimes I change into a totally romantic, colorful soul. Privately a mum of two gorgeous children and equally gorgeous husband :)

I am so happy to be a Guest Designer on a Splashy Mix Challenge blog. My inspiration for this month challenge is the art journal page- with negative space, a lot of stamping and generally distressed looking- all that I love. I wanted also to share with you one of my fav ways of stenciling and adding powder pigments to the page.

Hopefully, you'll find in my tutorial some tips and advice you didn't know about:)

Sending you all a lot of hugs and wishing a great day!
