Mixed media layout with transfer image technique by DT shraddha

''Life is better with friends'' . we all agree with this. Friends are best buddies. They care about us, they love us and they are with us, whenever we need them. same we do for them. Our life becomes colourful with friends just like the august moodboard of splashy mix.

hello everyone !!

This is shraddha sharma, inspired by the splashy mix wonderful and colourful moodboard.

I made this mixed media layout with transfer image technique. I used different mediums to create it and inspired by moodboard. I tried to add different colours and made it more colourful.

I used image transfer technique and made this butterflies wings and friends. I used crackle paste as well and clay to make the curtain.

I also used stencils and texture paste to create this brick look .

I used different embellishments and flowers to decorate it. I hope ,you guys are going to like it. Friendship is very important, never loose the good one .!!

Mixed Media Layout by Jinal Savla

Luckily I have also found a friend rather friends who are always there with me in my thick and thin and I cherish them from bottom of my heart...

Here for you .....always : Mini mixed media canvas

Hello!and Namaste! Crafty people

I am Sneha Apte here sharing my latest project made for this months moodboard at splashymix . Here is our current mood board

Mixed Media Mini Canvas : DT project for Splashymix

I made a mini canvas using lots of yummy products which will be listed in the description box of my youtube channel. As the theme suggests friendship I went for bright and fun colors.

I lay the foundation by using die-cuts sticking with art gel medium, and then using stencil with crackle paste over it when it was all dry I covered whole canvas with white gesso.

When the gesso was dry I started sticking the embellishments with art gel medium. The chippies, moulds, mini frame,handmade flowers with some gears and buttons and art stones covering all of them with gesso. And dried all of it.

Then came my favorite part of spreading colors on my canvas. Wanted to use bright and fun colors. One by one I started adding colors with water. When I was satisfied I dried it all up using heat gun and added glitters in some parts. At the end to complete my project I added the sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed my project and found some inspiration from it.

Friendship moments

Hello crafty friends,

I am shylaa here to share my inspiration on our current Mood Board.

I have made a layout on childhood friendship. Most beautiful part of life where the bondage is beyond boundaries.

Video process steps:

Basic process:

1.Choose two papers from the Earth scrapbook Paperpack from ITD Collection which I cut into diagonally and added to the background.

2.Add some texture with a ITD Collection stencil and Crackle paste

3. Die-cut leaves, fillers, and flowers in a watercolor paper.Colored them distress inks.

4.Choose some additional elements for the focal image and adhere to the layout with layers.

5. Add the die-cut flowers, leaves, fillers etc

6. Add watercolours to give additional colours

7. To finish the layout add microbeads, decostones, sequins, butterfly and sentiments

Altered Box - Inspiration from Aditi

Namaste Friends!

I am Aditi and I today I am going to share a mix media project for the Splashymix August challenge with you all.

Here is our August Moodboard

I have altered the box of the One Plus Phone according to the colors of moodboard.

I had the box lying over so thought to ucycle it. Firstly, using fevicryl mould it and lace mould, I have created the background. I used silicone glue to adhere. I used some die cuts , corrugated sheet pieces , flowers , beads to make composition.

Once done with composition, I gessoed the whole thing in white. I also applied texture paste on the sides and made pattern with graining tool. Sorry, I forgot to capture pics of that.

Then I started to play with colors according to the moodboard.

Gradually, I have increased the intensity of colors.

Once satisfied with the colors, I dry brushed with white gesso and pasted the flower and leaves.

I also, used art stones to add some drama.

Also, on the corners I have used embossing paste.

Added splashes,sentiment and butterflies to complete the look.

Challenge 20 - August

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the new challenge of August.

Here is the new moodboard

August is a festive month in India, we celebrate independence day, rakshabandhan, Bakrid, Sravan month festivals etc. It is a month for bonding. Our Moodboard is created with keeping these in mind.

It allows you to create many interpretation & possibilities.

Rules for the challenge:

- Create a project by the colors, elements etc. Of course, we also allow neutral colors (white, black, silver & gold);

- the project should be new, created for our challenge; may also be linked with other challenges;

- post a link back along with our moodboard in your blog

-If you are adding your projects from FB/ instagram posting our banner and adding #splashmixchallenge20 is mandatory.

- remember to write about what inspired you from our Moodboard;
