Shabby vintage Hoop

 Hello to all of you creative souls

Zvia is here with another inspiration creation

The challenge colors of October are so pink and peachy 

delicate and romantic

And as such they took me straight 

to the style of  Shabby Chic and Vintage

I used a free approved vintage photo from the web

And I built around it the whole composition

I arranged for the picture to stand out, as she is the Focal Point

And all other elements in the work 

are intended to support the central element = Focal Point

My tip for creating  is to decide in advance what  the Focal Point is

Then the rest will go with the flow

''Life is better with friends'' . we all agree with this. Friends are best buddies. They care about us, they love us and they are with us, whenever we need them. same we do for them.  Our life becomes colourful with friends just like the august moodboard of splashy mix.

hello everyone !!

This is shraddha sharma, inspired by the splashy mix wonderful and colourful moodboard.

I made this mixed media layout with transfer image technique. I used different mediums to create it and inspired by moodboard. I tried to add different colours and made it more colourful.

I used image transfer technique and made this butterflies wings and friends. I used crackle paste as well and clay to make the curtain.

I also used stencils and texture paste to create this brick look .

I used different embellishments and flowers to decorate it. I hope ,you guys are going to like it. Friendship is very important, never loose the good one .!!

All Because two people fell in Love

 I am Aditi and I am so happy to share the photo layout which I made for the Splashymix Challenge March moodboard with you all.

This time my project is inspired by the pink and green colors of the moodboard.

Hope you all will get some inspiration also to make your project. 

We all are waiting to see your lovely projects.  With kids and husband around...maids on leave you must be overwhelmed and not getting time for yourself. But trust me if you are happy then you can take care of your family in much better way. So to relax yourself, you can try making something which can make you happy and calm. Looking forward to your projects.

Let me share what I did for my project.

Firstly, I have taken a lovely pink pattern paper (itsy bitsy brand).

After that I applied clear gesso all over the paper. Also, to give sturdiness I have pasted the paper on a cardboard. 

I roughly cut the paper from two sides and distressed  from all the sides. 

Then I used stencils and texture paste to create some designs on the paper.

After that I pasted cheese cloth and sprayed green color. After that i started layering for the snap which I decided. I have given dark green photo mat to the snap.

Added the quote, die cuts, flowers, leaves, some quilled flowers, pearls, stones etc.

Pink Floral Garden - A Recycled Mixed Media Project

Hello Crafty Friends!
Fairuz Fabiha here from the Craftivation. Today I’ll be sharing with you my interpretation of the March  Moodboard of the Splashymix challenge.
I was inspired by the flowers and vines and the lovely pinks and greens of the moodboard
Moodboard-

I’ve recycled tissue paper rolls, cardboards, skewers for the base and plastics to make small plastic flowers out of it and use it to embellish the project. I’ve simply tried to add texture to it through stencils, texturepaste and Tim Toltz ‘Picked Raspberry’ spray stain. Then finally embellished the project with sisal, flowers, leaves, dew drops, sentiments, diecuts etc.

Scooter Ride : Altered Desk Calendar

Namaste Everyone!

 I am Aditi  from Pune , India. I am so happy  to be a part of the 2020 DT here at Splashy Mix! 

 This is our lovely shabby chic mood board for this January month.  

 I had an old desk calendar of 2019 which I thought to up cycle and today I am going to share with you my altered desk calendar. Hope you'll like it.

I got attracted towards the scooter pic in the moodboard and hence my central theme is scooter.

 I opened the spiral binding of the desk Calendar and started working on the page.

I applied gesso all over the page. I had to do 2 coats as to hide the image.  Then I stenciled the motifs  and again applied a layer of gesso.

 I  had scooter decoupage napkin in my stash. To make it our prime focus I used an old CD. I covered the old CD with gesso  and decoupaged it the scooter napkin.

I used Lindy's spray, vellum flowers, handmade flowers, Mini stones, cheesecloth , scraps of paper etc to embellish.

 Once the page was ready, I put the spiral binding back.
(My daughter started playing with the spiral ring and stretched it :(. Hence you can see the shabby look of the spiral. )
